Jonathan  Walne

Jonathan has been an IFA since 1984 and is a Chartered Financial Planner and an Associate of the Personal Finance Society. He joined PFP in July 2000, having previously worked for a specialist IFA consultancy in the West End and in the financial services departments of two leading benefits consultancies. His earlier career was mainly in personal taxation - with the Inland Revenue, “top ten” accountancy firms, and the technical department of a major life assurance company.

All rather strange for somebody who graduated from Oxford with a degree in Japanese!

Jonathan advises on all aspects of personal finance, although he specialises in retirement planning, including pensions, investment, inheritance tax and estate planning. He also has considerable experience in running financial counselling seminars and programmes for employees at all levels.

Jonathan is married and lives in south Buckinghamshire. He is an active member of his local church and also organises one of the veteran squads at Marlow Rowing Club - he looks really amazing in lycra!
