Partner and Pensions Director
Brian is the Partner who heads up the PFP Benefit Solutions business and since 1986 has built it from an initial idea into a multi million pound business. He is a nationally recognised expert at providing consultancy for corporate employee benefits and has specialist knowledge of Occupational Pension arrangements.
Brian deals with all aspects of corporate employee benefits including Defined Benefit Pension Scheme, Defined Contribution Pension Schemes, Hybrid/CARE Pension Schemes, Group Personal Pension Plans (GPPPs), Trustee Training, Trustee Liability Insurance and pension administrative aspects. He has further expertise in Group Insurance benefits including Group Life Assurance, Permanent Health Insurance (PHI), Critical Illness, Private Medical Insurance (PMI) and Unapproved Pension Arrangements as well as Overseas Pension Arrangements (cross border regulations). He is an adviser for The Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS), an Independent Trustee and occasional author.
Brian has been advising on corporate employee benefits since 1978 and has been with PFP since 1986. He is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (FPMI), an Associate of the Institute of Financial Planning (AIFP) and holds a diploma with the Personal Finance Society. He has also been awarded the Territorial Decoration for services to the Territorial Army.
PFP Benefit Solutions employs nearly 30 staff in Harrogate and London and has clients throughout the UK, a number of which are household names. In 2010, the number of pension members exceeded 25,000.
