The PFP Group can trace its roots to the early 1980’s in the regency spa town of Harrogate when Group Senior Partner, Ross Hyett, set out with a number of like minded individuals to provide a service dedicated to meeting the needs of high net worth individuals and their businesses. The business was formed on the premise that the management of significant assets should only be undertaken by professionals familiar with the intricacies of taxation, trust planning and sophisticated investment strategies.
A period of expansion followed throughout the 1980’s as the operation grew to provide the full range of investment services, pension scheme administration, tax planning and wealth management to both personal and corporate clients. In the 1990’s, additional offices were established to facilitate the growth of the business and the increasing number of referrals from accountants and solicitors, who, as today, turned to the group as a comprehensive source of information and financial advice for wealthy individuals.
In 2000 the company became part of the Stafford Group plc, which in turn was acquired by the Kingsbridge Group in 2001. Kingsbridge continued to make a series of acquisitions and during the following year brought these businesses together to trade as Kingsbridge Financial plc, with the Harrogate operation as the hub.
The enlarged Kingsbridge Group did not operate as efficiently as its parts and was broken up in February 2003 when Ross and the original management team agreed a buyout of the Harrogate based operation.
After a brief transitional period during which we were authorised via ProACT Financial, a support network based in the Midlands, we are now directly authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in respect of Financial Planning and Wealth Management. In common with many professional firms, our businesses are incorporated as Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).

PFP Benefit Solutions LLP - formed to conduct non-FSA-regulated activities, mainly pension scheme administration and the provision of employee benefit services.

PFP Wealth Planning LLP - the principal business through which our financial advice services operate.

PFP Wealth Management LLP - a specialist division to provide portfolio management services.

PFP Strategic Planning LLP - established to develop opportunities to enhance the services available within the group.
